Missions Outreach
We exist as a community to help broken people, all people, find healing in Jesus.
Welcome to Susanna Wesley! We are a mission-focused community of faith seeking to answer God’s call to step out into the world and
“to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God” Micah 6:8.
As a missional church, our focus is on outreach to the community and beyond, striving to meet the tenets our mission statement “to make Disciples of Christ through loving, serving, encouraging and growing together.” Our endeavors are prayed over, with the oversight of our Mission Outreach Committee.
Our Mission Outreach Committee works with the ministries of our community to assist and guide with financial management from our Leadership Board. As a missional church, we tithe from our annual church budget (we set aside 10%+ of our budget for missions). We encourage church members to tithe to God from their income (giving with a joyful heart).

Our Missions begin within our community:
Fishes and Loaves
The Fish and Loaves ministry provides assistance to the Meals on Wheels program by delivering a hot meal to those in need on the 4th Saturday of every month. Our ministry has expanded through the efforts our Women's Fellowship as they prepare meals twice a month for the homeless shelterd in our local area.
If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Bobby Scarborough or the church office at 804-642-7551.

Food Pantry
Helping those in need
Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon
If you are in need:
Call our office on Monday to request assistance (804) 642-7551. We only need your basic information (number of people in your household, food allergies and restrictions) to allow us to assemble your food pantry order. We provide a variety of food products to include canned goods, cereals, pasta, canned meats and peanut butter, frozen meats, fresh vegetables, bread products etc. You will pick up your order on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12 Noon. Our volunteers will bring your bag(s) (grocery, fresh vegetables, frozen items) to your vehicle.
How Can you Help?
One of the easiest ways is to drop off a donation of food items. The items we are always in need of include:
dry or boxed milk, and cereals (Oatmeal, cheerios, corn flakes, Chex, etc.), peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauces, dry and canned milk, tuna, mayonnaise, canned stews, canned meats (tuna, chicken, ham), soups, pasta, canned tomatoes, salt and pepper, cereal, macaroni and cheese, fruit cups. Dollar Tree is a great resource for cereal and bread.
Brown paper bags for food pantry use are always welcome.
NOTICE
Susanna Wesley is now an official partner with the Peninsula Food Bank. This has allowed us to purchase many of the basic need items at a lower cost. It does not eliminate the need for support. The Food Bank is not able to provide all the food items we need. Please continue to support our food bank as we highlight the items we cannot obtain.
If you would like to volunteer time or make a donation, please contact Bobby Scarborough or the church office at 804-642-7551.
